In 2023 Valuebin Srl, an Italian startup selected by Silicon Valley’s Plug and Play launched Zeroed, the platform that guides consumers on a more sustainable consumption. Zeroed offers users the possibility to choose among more than 25.000 products and assisted them creating customizable and shareable grocery lists. For every product added to the list, Zeroed offers more sustainable, healthier and cheaper alternatives.

Its proprietary Environmental Score is based on:

• Evaluation of packaging materials and their heterogeneity.

• Evaluation of industrial processing, CO2 emissions, water consumption

and land use.

• Account of standards of conformity to product safety, quality and supply chain

requirements.

Its proprietary Health Score is based on:

• The complexity of the product’s production process.

• Ingredients classification.

• An innovative display of reference values that drastically facilitate the

understanding for consumers.

Thanks to Plug and Play's acceleration Zeroed drew the attention of a world renown retailer operating in Italy. The pilot saw 150.000 consumers trying one of Zeroed’s features, packaging information along with a practical sorting guide.

The mission is to zero out emissions (the name Zeroed derives from this). The challenge is to offer consumers a compass to sensibly reduce the negative impact on the environment and on their own health.
